Adding A Test
Creating tests in the Gauge platform is very easy. To start the test making process go to Manage > Tests. Once there, click on the icon that says "Add New Test" to begin.
Give your test a name, then choose a test type. For more information on the different test types, view our "Test Types" article. After choosing your test type click on the "Add New Test" button. You will then be directed to the tests editing section where you can activate your test, add questions, and edit your test options.
Adding Questions To Your Test
To start adding questions to your test click on the "Questions Tab". Then click the "Add New Single Question" button. From here you will have a list of question types to choose from. Choose your question type then click the continue button at the bottom of the page.
You will immediately notice options and corresponding information, but you can skip that, for now, and scroll down to the text field under the "Question Text and Display Choices" drop down. This is where you will input your question.
After adding your question, continue to scroll down until you get to the answer field. You can add your answers in the "Possible Answer" section. Then under the "Value" section, you can assign point values to the answer. A point value of 0, means the answer is wrong, anything greater than a 0 is the point value of the answer. For example, if you put a 5 on the correct answer, that answer will be worth 5 points. When you are done scroll down to the bottom and click the "Create New Question" button to add the question.
Finalizing Your Test
Once you have some questions in your test and are ready to publish it, head back to the parameters tab. Then scroll down to the "Basic Settings" drop down and click on the checkbox that says "Is Activated". This activates and publishes the test. Make sure to save after doing this or your test will not appear.
You can then find and take your test under the "Take A Test" tab at the top of the page.
