Introducing In-House Virtual Proctoring Solutions. Bundle fully-integrated proctoring with your testing and exam needs
As some of you may know, in 2020 Gauge created integrations with the two leading virtual proctoring services companies - ProctorFREE and ProctorU. These integrations allow Gauge Superusers to ‘turn on’ proctoring for a specific test and for specific test/exam takers. Today, we are happy to announce that we’ve made it even easier for you to get set up with virtual proctoring - and directly through Gauge (while still supporting our valued partners ProctorFREE and ProctorU)! There is no need to complicate your setup and billing process, or worry about which option is best for you. The team at Gauge can now advise you on the best type of virtual proctoring service, and get you started immediately. For our Superuser customers who might only need a couple of tests or exams proctored at a timer, we are also in the process of creating the ability for you to purchase a small number of proctored tests on an ‘ad-hoc’ basis.
These are the integration options that Gauge offers for proctoring:
Fully-Automated Virtual Proctoring
This solution allows you to verify the identity of test or exam takers and record their test for later review.
The user's device is ‘locked down’ to only be able to take the test and have access to approved materials. This reduces the risk of test materials being copied and distributed.
Human-Assisted Automated Virtual Proctoring
Add an extra layer of security by adding a trained proctor to the automated virtual proctoring option. This professional proctor reviews test session results on behalf of the instructor and collaborates with AI technology to detect and report instances of cheating. Incident reports are made available detailing test anomalies on the test session timeline.
Live Virtual Proctoring via Webcam
Get live real-time monitoring and interaction with test takers. Similar to the other virtual proctoring solutions, it offers identity verification, AI-based monitoring, and test result review by trained proctors. In addition, the live proctor guides the user through the verification process and exam setup. The live proctor is present during the entire test session watching for any anomalies.
